Professor Aminu Ali, the Returning Officer, announced the final results at the collation centre, College of Education, Akwanga, after collation of votes from Akwanga, Nasarawa Eggon and Wamba LGAs. According to the results, Envu-Alanza polled 45,362 votes to defeat Maku Labaran of Labour Party, who polled 12,931 votes. Report describes how at least two soldiers were killed and several others sustained injuries after an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded on a military vehicle conveying troops to Bargaja community in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State. Operatives of the Adamawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have rescued two children allegedly abandoned by their parents. The children, aged one and two years respectively, were said to have been left at an uncompleted building in Wuro Hausa in Yola South Local Government Area of the state. Dangote Refinery backed MRS filling station has reduced the pump price of its premium motor spirit, PMS . on Friday showed that the petrol retail outlet has adjusted its pump price to N1,241 down from N1,317 per litre – in Abuja and its environs. This means that the filling station cut its petrol price by N76 per litre, or 5.77 per cent. The Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Apapa Area Command, has intercepted expired pharmaceutical products worth over ₦12.7 billion and a large consignment of Cannabis Sativa (Indian hemp) weighing about 1.8 tonnes, in separate intelligence-led operations carried out in Lagos.
