A missing child, Amarachi Amos, a 12yr old Primary 6 pupil has been found in the Metropolis of Benin City, where she was taken to the Edo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development for proper care.
According to Amarachi, she was abducted by suspected kidnappers around the Jakande area, Lagos State, after she went out to buy pepper for her mother. She said the incident occurred a day after she completed her Primary 6 examinations.
Amarachi explained that her captors later released her after she told them she did not know her mother’s phone number, making it impossible for them to contact her family to demand a ransom.
The Edo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development is appealing to members of the public to help locate Amarachi’s parents or anyone who may know her family. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact the Ministry so that she can be safely reunited with her loved ones.
