An Uber driver has alleged that he was sexually assaulted by three women after picking them up from the Kasoa-Budumburam area and driving them to East Legon Hills.
According to the driver, the women booked his services to transport them to East Legon Hills, where they said they intended to spend the night.
He claimed that after arriving at their destination, the women asked him to accompany them to their room so he would know where to find them if he returned the following morning and could not reach them by phone.
The driver said he followed them inside, but shortly after entering, one of the women allegedly locked the door.
He alleged that the women then began touching him, prompting him to ask what was happening.
The women subsequently pushed him onto a bed, with two allegedly restraining his hands and legs while the third sat on his genital area.
He further alleged that the three women took turns engaging in sexual activity with him before eventually allowing him to leave.
The driver claimed that the women also failed to pay his fare.
He said he returned to his vehicle after the alleged incident and remained there for more than two hours because he felt extremely weak before eventually managing to drive home.
The driver also alleged that he reported the matter to the police but felt his complaint was not taken seriously. He claimed some officers laughed at him and described him as “lucky.”
Feeling dissatisfied with the response, he said he left the police station.
“I want justice,” he reportedly said during a radio interview.
The driver added that he later checked his health and said he had not experienced any health complications following the alleged incident.
During the radio discussion, one of the women was reportedly contacted by phone. According to the account shared on air, she expressed disappointment that the driver had taken the matter to the radio station.
