The mega refinery had also threatened to export its petroleum products and halt sales to petrol importers and marketers.”

Nigerian filling stations have significantly increased their Premium Motor Spirit, PMS pump prices.

A market survey by DAILY POST on Monday showed that MRS, Ranoil, Empire Energy and other filling stations increased their petrol pump prices to between N1,310 and N1,320 per litre, from N1,230 and N1,299 per litre.

This means that Nigerian filling stations adjusted their petrol prices by between N20 and N80 per litre.

Accordingly, MRS raised its fuel pump price by N80 per litre, Ranoil by N45 per litre, and Empire Energy by N25 per litre.

The development comes as Dangote Refinery, last weekend, raised its gantry price by N65 per litre to N1,265 per litre.

Recall that Dangote Refinery had blamed the rising fuel imports on the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority’s issuance of import licences to marketers.

More recently, the mega refinery had also threatened to export its petroleum products and halt sales to petrol importers and marketers.
