Bandits have killed the chief Imam of Talluje village in Bodinga Local Government Area of Sokoto State and two others. The Dangote refinery reduced fuel prices for the fourth time within a month as crude oil prices eased. The latest price drop was disclosed in a statement to Newsmen on Thursday. The recent reduction brings the gantry price of petrol to N1,075 per litre from N1,250. This means that the mega refinery dropped its petrol by N50 per litre to a cumulative N200 per litre since May 30, 2026. Three artisanal miners have died while two others lost consciousness following a mining incident in Riruwai, Doguwa Local Government Area of Kano State. The incident occurred on Wednesday after fumes from a water-pumping machine reportedly filled a mining pit where the victims were working.
