The prices of liquefied petroleum gas, known as cooking gas, have continued to fall across parts of Nigeria after weeks of upsurge due to supply constraints. Checks across cooking gas retail outlets in Abuja showed that they have dropped by between N1450 and N1500 per kilogram from N1700 at AA Shafa and Ranoil in Dutse and Gwarimpa. The body of Miss Wendy Achumba, the slain student of School of Nursing Umuologho Obowo, was on Friday buried at her father’s compound in Umuokohia, Obingwa LGA of Abia State. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Akure zone, has accused the Ondo state government of failing to implement the financial provisions of the renegotiated agreements signed with the union by the federal government. Eleven kidnap victims have escaped from their abductors after the suspects allegedly fell asleep following an overnight trek through the forest in Etsako West LGA of Edo.
