A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (https://icpc.gov.ng/) (ICPC) to arrest a former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, over certificate forgery. The court gave the ruling on Thursday following an ex parte motion by the ICPC in suit number marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1160/2026. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has strongly refuted allegations of financial misconduct levelled against it during an ongoing Senate probe, insisting that the organisation and its staff are not involved in any form of theft. The defence was made by former NNPCL Chief Financial Officer, Umar Ajiya, while appearing before the Senate Public Accounts Committee investigating the company’s financial activities and expenditure records.
