The Nigerian Army has confirmed the attack on a military base in Borno State, saying five soldiers and three members of Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) were killed. The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) says the party handles disputes arising from its just concluded primaries through “an established stakeholder leadership structure.” The National Secretary of the NDC, Ikenna Enekweizu, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday night. The Court of Appeal in Abuja has dismissed an appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) regarding the leadership dispute within the party.
