More Nigerian filling stations have reduced their Premium Motor Spirit, PMS pump prices to remain competitive amid falling petrol prices across Nigeria. Checks on Wednesday morning showed that Ranoil, Nigerian Independent Petroleum Company, NIPCO, Empire Filling Stations and others had reduced their fuel prices to between N1,275 and N1,299 per litre from N1,300 and N1,310 in Abuja and its environs. This means that the filling stations further slashed their petrol prices by between N11 and N25 per litre. Seven miners have been killed after a mining pit collapsed at Kassa community in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State. Eyewitnesses said that several miners were also injured in the incident. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening while the victims were carrying out mining activities at the site. Bandits have killed two people and abducted 11 others during separate attacks on Taloka and Huda communities in Goronyo Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
