The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Akure zone, has accused the Ondo state government of failing to implement the financial provisions of the renegotiated agreements signed with the union by the federal government. Eleven kidnap victims have escaped from their abductors after the suspects allegedly fell asleep following an overnight trek through the forest in Etsako West LGA of Edo. Bandits have killed the chief Imam of Talluje village in Bodinga Local Government Area of Sokoto State and two others. The Dangote refinery reduced fuel prices for the fourth time within a month as crude oil prices eased. The latest price drop was disclosed in a statement to Newsmen on Thursday. The recent reduction brings the gantry price of petrol to N1,075 per litre from N1,250. This means that the mega refinery dropped its petrol by N50 per litre to a cumulative N200 per litre since May 30, 2026.
